First and foremost Marilyn Zurwaski is a facilitator. She has been helping people heal and live more productive and balanced lives for over 35 years. She draws on her diverse background in Occupational Therapy, ergonomics, physical rehabilitation, craniosacral therapy and acupressure to develop a “whole person” approach in evaluating her Total Approach Therapy patients needs. She looks not only at the challenge or injury they are facing, but also at their physical, emotional and psychological well-being. Her goal is to help balance the body and enhance the body’s own ability to heal. Her passion for helping people is evident in her empathetic approach to her clients.

Marilyn helps people achieve balance in both the corporate and private sectors. She consults as a corporate ergonomics expert helping both large and small companies troubleshoot and identify ergonomic risk factors as identified by OSHA. Over the last two decades she has helped numerous corporations develop programs for prevention of Cumulative Trauma Disorders as well as facilitated employee education and training. This work has resulted in cost reductions in terms of lost time due to injury and workers comp payments.

Marilyn is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with extensive experience in treating clients with disabilities and injuries. She received her degree from Boston University’s Sargent College of Allied Health Professions. For the first 10 years of her over 30 year career, Marilyn worked at one of the country’s leading rehabilitation facilities before establishing her own business over 25 years ago. One of the primary reasons for starting her own business was the ability for Marilyn to set the standard of care her patients received as opposed to being dictated to by the medical system bureaucracy.

Marilyn is also an instructor and member of Insight Acupressure Faculty Alliance formerly Soul Lightening International. She has served on numerous roles, most recently past president. She teaches core curriculum classes for Insight Acupressure- Introduction to Acupressure, Clinical Acupressure1, Process Acupressure 1A,Process Acupressure 1B.

She also teaches community workshops for both Self- care for Insight Acupressure and Fall Prevention.
